“The outfit was a gift from Owen’s foster mom, when he came to the U.S., at Christmas, in 2008. When we took him for his one-year portrait, the following spring, we decided to dress him up in his hanbok and send copies of the pictures to his foster family. He’s easygoing, but the hat was what got him.” —Emily Williams
