Our family recently grew by one. Our first child-our daughter, was born in August 2003 and joined our family through an open adoption. Our son was born this August and is a biological sibling to our daughter. We are very happy and tired all at the same time. We didn’t anticipate a second adoption so many years after the first but the wait was worth the time spent and all the false starts.
