About my family...
Mu husband and I were fortunate enough to adopt through the foster/adopt program with a local foster family agency. We were blessed to adopt our daughter at just 5 weeks old. We are now three strong!
Unique aspects of our adoption story...
Our adoption story is unique, according to the social workers we worked with. Our daughter was placed for adoption by her birth parents because they were young and had no means to support a newborn. Our situation was unique because there was no department of children services involvement. The parents requested to give their baby up for adoption through the county-I guess this does not happen to often in the foster care system. My husband and I were priveledged to meet our daughter’s birth parents and we have photos taken with them to share with her when we choose to share her adoption story with her.
Our family's favorite pastimes...
Our daughter is now 2 y/o. We go EVERYWHERE together. We enjoy going to amusement parks, museums, parks, her weekly ballet classes. We always attend anything that goes on locally in our city.
