want to do it again

Hello, we are happy parents of a beautiful 2 1/2 year old girl.  We had such a great exsperiance adoptiong her that I’m ready to do it again.  The only problem is that we can not afford to do it the same way.  I’m considering fostering with option to adopt and just wanted any helpful info that anyone that has been through it can give me.  We were blessed with adopting our girl right from birth, but this time the age doesn’t matter as much as long as they are yunger then her.  Thanks

Most kids in foster care are a bit older. You may want to see if there are any FFA organizations in your area that specifically work with young children. The organization we work with focuses on birth to 5. We went that route because our bio kids were 5 and 7 when we began fostering and we wanted to keep them as the oldest kids.

hi, I’m in the process of adopting from foster care; I’m looking for a toddler girl. I"m only willing to accept a child who is already legally free for adoption, so I’ve been waiting a long time (a year). if you’re open to legal risk placements (where there’s a chance the birth parents will get her back), you’ll get matched much more quickly. there aren’t a lot of very young kids for adoption in the foster system, but they’re out there

we did exactly what you are wanting to do. We adopted interanationally and wanted more kids, but couldn’t afford it. So we started to do foster care and told them we would only take kids younger than our 2 year old. They said we were limiting ourselves and may wait awhile. It was exactly 1 week from getting our license that we had our 1st placement. She didn’t stay but we had one baby after another with no breaks between. We were foster parents for 8 years and adopted 3 of our kids all placed with us as newborns. It is possible, but you need to be patient as a lot of kids go home. We fostered over 30 kiddos. Good luck on our adventure. If you want to email me privately you can. My email is .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
