Hi Jo, I live in Miami. We’ve been waiting 2.5 years for a placement with an agency. Are you at the beginning of your journey?
Hello MPetru. OMG 2.5 years! Thats a very long journey…but I am sure that it was worth to wait!
How old is your Baby now? I am in the beginning….My profile at the Agency has been live since May 14th. So…this is just a very very beginning and I can’t wait when we will be matched. I am happy for you!

What if the child you adopt turns out not to be an angel?
NoraT - ALL Babies Are Anglels. God’s creations. I am so sure about that
Just pointing out that children who are adopted are kind of just like other people==all sorts of quirks and flaws and things just like other humans have. It is a hard burden on adoptees to be the “angel” that their adopters expect to grace their lives.
We are in Brevard County, so not exactly South Florida… We are an adoptive family of 5 through domestic newborn adoption, we went through an attorney, Hausmann and Hickman in Boynton Beach. Attorneys get a bad reputation in adoption, but our experience was that they were very ethical and supportive of expectant mom. In fact, in our experience it was the agency that was unethical… but that is another story.
Good luck on your adoption journey! Our three are great kids, fabulous, messy, loud, not always well-behaved, but always angels according to their grandmother!
I have to agree with Nora here! Everyone is special, worthy of love, but only an angel to those who don’t know them well. All of us, parents and kids are just human- learning thru challenges. Angels don’t usually hang around long!
