Update

Our BM had issues after delivery and us returning home. I wasn’t sure what to do.

We blocked her from our home and cell phones.

The other day we received an email from our faciliator that she wanted contact. I got worried, but decided to email and text her the same message.

I didn’t hear anything back. Then I received a very kind email. I responded with kindness. We corresponded a few times and she asked if she could call. I told her we could call once a week if she wanted to.

I am glad I received guidance on this site. I am guarded, but hope things will continue so our son will know his BM.

Hi! I know that had a very hard time with your son’s birthmother before, and am glad that you had some good communication with her recently!  I think that’s good that you emailed/texted her to give her the chance to open communication with you again, and now are willing to begin phone calls with her.  Just take things slowly, and I hope too that everyhing will continue to go well so that you all can have a good relationship together for your son’s sake.  smile

Hugs,
Kris

I too hope that this issue gets worked out! knowing your BMis such a blessing and such a hard thing to deal with too.. I just recently found out that our BM didn’t want contact and was considering closing the adopion communication, but we went to visit her and she realized we truly love our son and we love her too… she then told our social worker that she does indeed feel loved and wants to continue communication… praying your situation gets better!
