Trying to get a timeline...

My husband and I are adopting through fostercare although we were told by our agency that they don’t do foster-adoption ( which after reading a lot of the posts on this site seems weird). Anyway, our ultimate goal is to adopt an older child. I am trying to get a sense of how long our actual home visit will take. We have already completed the PS-MAPP and submitted our application including background checks. I know those take about 30 days. So what I am trying to figure out is how long the actual homestudy takes. What were your experiences in KS? Also, since KS in privatized, any agency wisdom you would like to share? I am in the KC area.

I don’t know about foster adopt, we did private adoption…but there is a really knowledgable group in KC…Friends of Adoption. Web site also on facebook. There are monthly meeting where you can get great resources. Might be worth a try.
