Is there a good list out there somewhere of profile listing sites such as ParentProfiles - I keep stumbling onto new ones and I am having trouble figuring out which is a waste of time and money, and which are actually visited by emoms considering placement. Not to mention the WIDE disparity in prices. Plus how do they impact certai state laws about advertising?
Has anyone posted about this and could someone link to that post?

We tried ABC adoptions (they place ad on 32 adoption sites) and the only responses we received were scammers (Cameroon). I would say if your gonna try it do it for the least amount of time possible. We signed on for a year and boy do I regret it. Im sure some people have had luck using them but not us. I know there are some free profile sites out there. Good Luck to you.

We tried Parent Profiles and got a lot of good contacts (but not a match)...we only had a handful of scammers there…but it is expensive.

We also tried Adoption-Share.  We didn’t have any leads through that site…almost the postings we saw would have been a LOT of $$...and we had already paid an agency in our state so it didn’t personally work for us to continue with that site.

Good luck!!

We used parentprofiles.com and were matched right away and adopted our daughter from that match.  We had several credible inquiries and also a few scammers but the scammers are usually so obvious.  Parentprofiles.com has a database that only members can access so if someone sends you an email you can put bits and pieces of the story in their search engine and if it’s a scammer, someone else has probably entered it in their database.

During our second adoption (which we eventually put on hold because I got pregnant).  We had several birthmothers contact us from parentprofiles.com.

I like the site and I don’t think it’s expensive for the coverage you get.

We use AmericaAdopts. No match yet, but they website owner is very nice and the price is much more reasonable than ParentProfiles.

I manage the Families hoping to Adopt page on facebook and I do that on a volunteer basis. As well as the Adoption Situations page. I am a adoptive mother that just wants to help see families created and so I do this in my extra time.
