How long after herbs and pumping did anyone notice some drops while pumping? I think I am going to go to my gyno and see if he will help with the process. I need to see results..lol…

I started getting drops on day 3, I think.  Just a few the first day, but it gradually increased over time.  By week 4 I got spray, and by week 6 I had flow.  One thing I’ve heard is that hand expression is a better way to see results and to completely empty the breast when you’re only getting small amounts.  You might give that a shot, in order to keep your spirits up!  Just google “Hand Express Breastmilk” and you’ll get some video and text results to choose from.

I, too, did on about say 3. I’m not a good pumper though. Never was with my bio kids either unless they were nursing on one side and I was pumping on the other so when I could get out about 1/2 ounce, I was ecstatic. Everyone is different. Are you getting any moisture?

No I am not getting any moisture yet:( kinda feeling disappointed.

Give it time:).  I went to a lactation consultant which helped, learned things I never knew with bio kid!  For example, when I told her pumping was such a pain because of all the parts to clean every time, she told me the milk can stay at room temp for 10-12 hours, so I can leave it in the pump and get back to it later.

And she got me to figure out hand expression, which is mainly what I do now.  In fact, I am at work today and can step away, hand express and just put in my purse when I am done:)

I take domperidone, fenugreek and occasionally to mothers tea.

Good luck!  It is comforting to my son even when I know he is not getting a lot from me right now.  He is 6 weeks:)

Hi there I’m new here. We just had a failed adoption but I thought I could chime in here. I started by taking blessed thistle and fenugreek 3x a day for a good month, then I started pumping every 3hours during the day and once in the middle of the night. I got drops about a week or so later. They were clear to sometimes yellowish to a weird green/gray color. The greenish color freaked me out and I called my doc…he said its fine keep pumping. I got discouraged a couple times and stopped for a week or so each time. DONT GIVE UP!! When the baby was a month away I got very serious and stayed on sched. And within 2 weeks….glorious white milk droplets came in!! I was so shocked and happy…if only I had not gotten discouraged! Anyway about 2 weeks later we brought her home and I bottles fed and had breast time and pumped. I was very tired but I REALLY wanted to be successful. Unfortunately her BM decided to parent and she left us. At this point I’m not sure what I will do. But I wanted to let you know my experience without any BCP or progesterone or domperidone. GOOD LUCK!!! You can do it….don’t give up.
