Hi, my name is Rae and I am new to the group. My husband and I are eagerly awaiting a match for a newborn (domestic adoption). Are there others waiting in Ohio? Congrats to those of you who have completed adoptions!

My husband and I are from Ohio (Columbus), and also waiting to be matched for a newborn. What part of Ohio are you from?

Jen,
Were from Columbus too! We’ve only been waiting 2 months but it seems like longer. This group isn’t very active so I wasn’t sure if it was mostly completed adoptions. I’m excited to have someone in the same city who can share the excitement/stress/anxiety/fear/doubts/impatience/eagerness/etc… How long has your wait been?

We adopted our little girl and she will actually be one this week! I just wanted to say hello and wish you luck. Waiting is a very exciting, stressful, exhausting, emotional time. We had many ups and downs in our journey and it was great connecting with other moms-to-be in the same situation. Hope you meet your baby girl/boy very soon. Congratulations on your baby girl turning 1 this week! I can’t wait until I can plan for my baby’s 1st birthday. I’m keeping busy but it’s tough.

We have three completed adoptions but are in the “waiting” stage for our last two as we wait for the last of the paperwork to be processed. A boy and a girl. We are adopting internationally again and hope to be able to travel sometime this summer to pick them up. We are in southwest Ohio. The waiting can be really difficult!!!
