My Mother's Day Gift
My social worker woke me up last Tuesday morning to tell me that a birthmom had chosen me. She said you sound so calm - I said I’m in shock. Twenty-four hours later I was meeting the birthmom.
I had been beginning to think that I was getting too old because I am over 50, but that did not seem to matter to the birthmom. I have a adorable 3 month old daughter sleeping in the crib I bought SO long ago that was just catching dust.
For those of you that are waiting, I know you have doubts and the wait can seem like an eternity, but when it’s what is mean to be it just all works old. It’s always when we least expect it and I did not expect this. Sleep while you can, you’ll need your rest.

Congratulations!! 5 years ago today (which was also Mothers Day), we brought home our oldest daughter from the hospital. Best Mothers Day gft ever!
Congrats!!!!!!! I agree it happens when it is meant to happen.
Happy mothers day!
Felicidades!(Congratulations)
Oh, Big congrats! I know your heart is full.
The same thing happened to us! After years of waiting, we got the call Monday, the baby was born Tuesday, and we brought him home last Thursday.
In less than a week with him, we love him so much! The waiting seemed endless but he is worth every second.
