Moving to Japan and wanting to adopt

Hello all,

I’m new to the forum, my name is Alberto and my wife and I are moving to Japan in the coming weeks. We would like to adopt there, and eventually move back to Canada.

We’re very excited, and of course a bit daunted by the chalenges ahead of us. We’ve read all the previous posts to the group, and are already planning a visit to ISSJ as we arrive in Tokyo.

Any advice would be highly appreciated as we start this journey, for example:

- Recommended agencies, and if you could tell us a bit about your experience.
- Independent adoption (we read a post that recommended visiting orpahages), does anyone have experience with it?
- Any online resources specific to Japan that could be useful.

Thank you very much in advance for your help.
