Adoption Agencies (Reviews)

Mother Goose Adoptions

Anyone have any experience with this agency in Arizona. I am currently working with them but am concerned by the small number of situations they have and with the limited they give to birth moms. Can anyone who has worked with them give a review here?

Our consultant told us she had couples do well with them but we never ended up signing with them when we were matched through a different agency.  The way our consultant works is she would send us situations that she heard of regardless of the agency/attorney and you could sign with the agency after the match.  Due to this I have no idea how frequent we would have been called by Mother Goose.  I think I only saw one situation from them while we were waiting.

Sorry about not having more info.  I at least feel that if our consultant told us about them then they are at least reputable but that doesn’t do anything for you if they are slow.

The Director of this agency is very knowledgeable about adoption and I think has adopted herself.  However, the way their system works just hasn’t seemed like a good fit for us.  They don’t require the birth mothers to disclose the gender of their child or be drug screened, etc.  They maintain a list of situations and then they just notify people when there are new situations added to the list.  There haven’t been a lot of situations this year and most of them have been where the gender of the baby is unknown.  For us, we are only going to adopt one time and with their prices being what they are we really want to be gender specific.  I haven’t seen anything ethically wrong in my dealings with them.
