Hi there,

I noticed there wasn’t a thread for families in Maine looking to adopt. I thought I’d start one to see if there is anyone else out there. We’re Tracy and Micah. We have an 18 month old and are hoping we’ll be so lucky as to have a second child. We have a FB page (AdoptionforTracyandMicah), a Twitter page, and we recently joined AmericaAdopts. It would be great to share our journey with another family

So nice to see other Maine families! My husband and I live in Portland and are looking to adopt our first child. We’re working with AdoptHelp in CA and have had a few matches - both have fallen through. It’s always good to connect with others on the journey!

Hi Kate! Nice to meet you. Sorry to hear about your unsuccessful matches. For our first adoption, we had a few of those using an online profile site. It was such a difficult emotional journey. You’ll have a baby in your arms before you know it, making all the difficulties completely worth it (hard to believe, I know)
