New to Adoption
Is there such a thing as an Adoption "Counselor/Expert"?
I’m seriously considering international adoption, but I’m fairly new to the topic. My main question is: is there such a thing as an adoption “counselor” or “expert” who could give me advice? Or is that what an adoption agency does? I’d like to talk to someone who can answer questions like “what is the current international adoption landscape in 2021—-and where would I be most likely to have a successful outcome in my particular circumstance?” Any thoughts are greatly appreciated, since I’m a newbie! Thanks so much.

Yes and I would be happy to help and/or in the least provide referral information. My best, Wendy Schmidt

The agencies would have the most up to date info on the open countries. Not all agencies work with all countries so it may take awhile to contact a few places.
Best of luck!
