Interviewees needed for Birth Sibling article for AF magazine

Focusing on families that domestically adopted their children as infants or from foster care. It’s sometimes hard for adoptive parents to talk about birth siblings with their kids. Hard for birth parents too. However, talking about or possibly opening contact with birth siblings—whether being raised by one or both of the birth parents, another birth family member, another foster or adoptive family—are important matters for our families.

I’m looking to speak to:
—Adoptive Parents with limited or no contact with their child’s birth siblings
—Adoptive Parents with contact
—Birth Parents with contact who are parenting as well
—Older Teen/Adult Adoptees on how they think about their birth siblings

If you’re interested in contributing or have further questions, please email me at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Write “Birth Siblings” in the subject line. Thank you so much for your consideration! ~ Barbara
