I have my first meeting with the adoption ageny thurs

(this thursday) excited and scared. have told almost nobody…because if anybody says anything negitive I may not go…and I think I need to try. I am obviously disabilied.I am recently widowd(that is the only real reason they could reject me.. and , in my opinion, it should only be temporarily-til I have a little more time to greive.) but after thrusday I need to start talking about it…I hope to adopt a older child…the ada says we can adopt if we are able to care for the child.. suppose that where they get you..can you care for the child?..but im sure most-if not all-can. or we wouldnt be here. now to convince them.

Best of luck

You’re going to need to have a physical, and you will need a doctor’s note stating that your disability will not interfere with your ability to parent a child. That’s what we needed - I have a disability that isn’t obvious when you look at me.
