How To Make An Adoption Storybook

I would like to make an adoption storybook for my 4 year old to help her understand more about being adopted and her own special adoption story.  She knows that she’s adopted, and who her birthmother and older siblings are.  She has seen pictures of them, and they have also visited us and are planning to visit again in a month.  My daughter also knows that she grew inside her birthmother’s tummy and has seen pictures of that.  (Her little sister is 3, and also knows the same and I would like to make her an adoption storybook too - they are biological siblings and their stories are similar)

If anyone knows where I could find examples of adoption storybooks, or be comfortable sharing privately with me about their child’s storybook, I would so appreciate the help and having examples of storybooks (examples would help me so much).  The language of how to write it would also be so helpful to me   smile

Thank you,

Speak from your heart tell them how you came to find tjem snd how there birth mother cjose you for them .juat my opinion as a birth mother

Check out Beth O’Malley. She has a book, “LifeBooks : Creating a Treasure for the Adopted Child”, a website, and an email list with tips for creating one.  Good luck!
