Homestudy

My husband and I are looking for agencies that offer homestudy services. We live in Atlanta. Can anyone recommend any good ones?

Thanks,

My husband and I recently used and were very pleased with AAA Partners in Adoption based out of Alpharetta. Here’s their website: http://www.partnersinadoption.org/home-studies/a33-continuing-the-home-study-process.php

I can’t help with an adoption agency also providing Homestudies here in GA (if that’s what you meant) but for just a homestudy and follow up (which is good across state lines) we are currently working with Options4Adoption in Atlanta and could not be happier! They are friendly, helpful and organized/professional ladies. The initial homestudy process to be approved was fairly easy (and I was nervous about it,  not for any reason) and they have a nice website and checklist which helped me to get the nexessary documents together and plan ahead. We are now in the Post-Placement visits and the monthly visits are not at all intimidating, they are more like visiting with a friend who just happens to be taking notes smile Feel free to msg if you have other questions as we have recently done all of this!

We used Families First for our homestudy and post placement reports.  They were wonderful.  I also think their cost was very reasonable.  I found that there is a wide variety of what agencies charge for their services - do you homework and be informed.

We LOVED our case worker, Donna Kennedy Booth - baadbooth at bellsouth dot net.  A friend of mine also adopted with Donna as the case worker.  Donna works through a couple of agencies to do the home study.  We went through Crystal Adoptions.  Let me know if you have other questions.  All the best, Ashley

We had a tragic experience with AAA PIA when adopting our daughter. Their treatment of us and of our birth mother was reprehensible to say the least. Melissa Clause, former Director of AAA PIA is now Director of A ABBA Adoptions. Her daughter, who worked with her at AAA PIA, is now Director of A Adoption Advocates of GA. I would stay away from any agency these two women are associated with.

Look for AAA PIA in both articles:

Hello, my husband and I just started the adoption process and are looking for recent reviews of home study specialists in ATL. We are looking at two options (below). Does anybody have any experience with either one or have a suggestion of their own? The service would have to be able to process studies for all US states. Thanks!

Option 1: Options4Adoption
Option 2: Adoption BabyLink
Option 3: ???

We used Options4Adoption and were very, very pleased grin

We just used AAA PIA and I didn’t have those same issues.

We moved from Maryland to Georgia in August. We had to get our homestudy updated which is another way of saying we have to do another homestudy lol.

It them about a month to complete it. And yes we had to make calls for clarifcation a few times but it was completed by our deadline. We were matched in September and our baby was due in November. We were on a tight window. We were matched through another agency.

AAA PIA they are far from perfect—its a small company and they really don’t do things electronically like our other agency in Maryland. But overall they were able to complete our homestudy and our post placements in a timely manner.

They are an ecconomical option. This is just my recent experience.

I give them all the credit in the world because they completed a post placement visit shortly after Christmas.

We just finalized on 2/3/16.
