Good News for Hopscotch Adoptions and Bad News for Cyber Bully

For those of you who were influenced by a cyber bully who posted false allegations against Hopscotch’s international adoption program, check out this link:

It is always a good rule of thumb to take any information with a grain of salt, if it is not directly from the source itself.  Remember that all experiences are subjective and there could be a multitude of reasons people comment or post in a negative or positive manner.

So check your sources!

I am Vanessa Kachadurian who is the subject of Robin Sizemore and Hopscotch Adoptions damage control.  Unfortunately, everything about this agency is true and has been reported on credible news sources such as: Ethica, Eurasianet, RadioFreeEurope, PEAR, Brandeis University - irregularities of Armenian Adoptions.
Robin Sizemore decided to silence her critics and the truth by hiring known hatchet man - and celebrity staus seeking “Internet Attorney” Bennet Kelley.
This expensive price tag was to set an example by harming me and my family. Bennet Kelley was paid handsomely by Robin Sizemore for 20 months of his nonsense and known antics.
Mr. Bennet Kelley is a writer, commentator and has his own radio show which are all done for free to promote himself.  He even has an agent for his non-existent career as a Celebrity Attorney.
The Plaintiff and her attorney, withdrew and abandoned their poorly written Complaint after the Mediation report that showed everything was true about Hopscotch Adoptions and Robin Sizemore.  They were treated to a partial reimbursement of Robin’s enormous legal fees by my insurance company as a parting gift.  No judgment, no apology and no removal of such comments were ordered.

Make sure you read the mediation report and learn why Robin was dismissed from Carolina Adoption Services.

Additionally, The Armenian government doesn’t recognize Adoption facilitators or their business.

I am not to blame for the 62% drop in International Adoptions over the last 5 years. Be reasonable folks we all know it is largely because countries are closing down due to human trafficking and because there is an economic slowdown in the USA.  Additionally there is a lot more information/controversy about International Adoptions.

One more footnote;
In the mediation report, the 3 “so-called” potential clients of Hopscotch Adoptions were interviewed by a third-party and it was found they stopped their contract with Hopscotch Adoptions for various reasons:
1) poor business communications of Hopscotch
2) no contract ever initiated
3) they had never heard of Vanessa Kachadurian
4) Didn’t like the small adoption program in Armenia and it’s huge time line.  Additionally they felt being non-Armenian would keep them from getting a healthy baby.

This is the truth read the mediation file, additionally Robin and Bennet Kelley had Ronda Russel the accountant for Hopscotch Adoptions sign a report that the agency had lost money from 2006-2009.  This was false information to the court.  According to Hopscotch Adoptions 990 IRS tax returns
The total earnings for Hopscotch Adoptions reported to the IRS was $1.3 million, with growth year after year.  In fact, Ms. Sizemore blew the competition out of the water.

11 months later and today I get e mails from former clients of Adoption Ark and Christian World Adoptions, they are BOTH CLOSED.  In fact, Christian World Adoptions filed bankruptcy after the controversial lawsuits with their Ethiopian adoptions and the shut down of Russian Adoptions to America.  Their main source of $$.
So am I to blame for this too?

Someone shared the following email with me, allegedly sent to Adoption
Ark clients this week:

On January 1, 2013, the Russian government put into effect a law that
prohibits the adoption of Russian children by US citizens. This ban is
a result of the Magnitsky Act, a bill passed by the US Congress as a
response to what Congressional leaders felt were human rights
violations in Russia.

The passage of law by both the US and Russia is heartbreaking for the
families who were in the process of adopting from Russia and,
especially, the children who will remain in orphanages across the
country, unable to grow up in the loving arms of a family.

As Adoption ARK’s largest program, Russia was over half of the agency’s
annual income. The Board of Directors and agency management, after
carefully reviewing all of our programs, projected income and expenses,
and trends in intercountry adoption, made the difficult decision to
close the agency.

Adoption ARK has helped nearly 1,000 children find homes with loving
families, since 2003. As an organization, we had sincerely hoped to be
able to continue uniting children with parents who would love and
cherish them. Adoption ARK’s staff members thank you for your
understanding at this difficult time.

Since its founding in 1991, Christian World Adoption has had only one objective: to help as many orphaned children around the world as possible find secure, loving homes. Thanks to our families and a truly dedicated staff, we have been very successful at doing that, placing thousands of children from a wide variety of countries in American homes. Our agency motto is “God is in control of our agency and your adoption,” and we believe that finding homes for orphans is indeed God’s work.

International adoption has faced many obstacles over the decades, with various countries opening and closing, but through it all Americans’ desire to adopt has remained strong. U.S. parents adopted an amazing 235,000 children from around the world between 1999 and 2011. That desire to adopt is just as strong as ever, with thousands of families all over the country currently trying to adopt foreign orphans. Yet international adoption to the USA has declined by 62% since its peak in 2004, and that downward trend is expected to continue. Why is that?

Today international adoption – adoption agencies in general and CWA in particular – face a “perfect storm” of circumstances that has made it difficult and in some cases impossible to continue. Many adoption agencies have closed their doors in recent years. Russia’s recent ban on adoptions to Americans, the U.S. State Department’s decision not to open adoptions from Cambodia, vastly longer adoption wait times in China, and longer adoption times and fewer referrals in Ethiopia have all had an adverse effect on CWA. UNICEF has waged an unrelenting campaign against international adoption for many years. Ongoing mandatory child care costs in Ethiopia despite slower adoptions has been a major drain on our finances. Children living in our partner orphanages have to be cared for, fed and kept healthy every day, even when adoption cases are not moving and the fees we collect do not entirely cover the cost of their care. Costs have been increasing all across the board, including the cost of accreditation and licensing to remain in compliance with U.S. and foreign legal requirements, as well as the number of staff hours devoted to that compliance.

Our struggle to adapt and survive under new conditions has gone on for more than three years. Throughout that time, CWA’s staff has continued to bring children home and provide our families with a high level of service. We have always been very committed to what we do, on a very personal level. In a series of cost-saving measures we reduced every possible expense: cut our U.S. staff by two-thirds; curtailed foreign staff; moved to less expensive offices here and abroad; cut back on foreign travel; reduced mailing costs to a minimum; closed Acacia Village in Ethiopia; saved in every possible way on our fixed monthly expenses; and utilized nearly all the proceeds from the sale of a building owned by Christian World Foundation to financially underwrite the expense of providing CWA’s adoption services.

Still it was not enough. Given the length of the international adoption process, operating expenses have not been covering the expenses of adoptions for some time. We utilized donations and funds made available by Christian World Foundation to continue funding child care, and we appealed for more donations to a wide variety of possible donors. In the end, we are forced to admit that our continued operation as an agency is no longer feasible. It is with great regret that CWA announces that we are ending operations as an agency effective immediately. If there were any way forward for CWA, we would take that option, but at this point in time we see no other choice but to close our doors. Needless to say, we are devastated.

We are filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy so that there will be an independent fiduciary operating under the oversight of the United States Bankruptcy Court as Christian World Adoption closes down. We selected this option rather than just closing the doors in order to give families comfort that we have handled their trust and their finances in accordance with the law. Information about the bankruptcy filing will be posted on our website within days along with the name and contact information for the trustee who is appointed by the Court. The trustee will look over our operations to ensure that all funds have been properly handled. Any funds left in the estate will be paid to creditors. You will also be receiving a notice of the bankruptcy filing directly from the court.

CWA sincerely appreciates all families who faithfully submit their post-adoption reports year after year. You have shown through your dedication how important post-adoption reports are to you. We can’t begin to express our thankfulness to all of you for that

For families who have adopted from China, the Great Wall China Adoption agency is taking over our China cases. Please contact Great Wall at 248 Addie Roy Rd A102 Austin, TX 78746 (512) 323-9595 regarding your post-adoption reports. Great Wall has been provided with a list of all CWA China families with reports still due, and arrangements have been made for Great Wall to process those reports and submit them to CCCWA. Despite CWA’s closing, it remains vital that families continue to send these reports to China on schedule.

For families who have adopted from Ethiopia, post-adoption reporting will be transferred to Illien Adoptions International, 1250 Piedmont Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30309 (404) 815-1599. Please contact Illlian regarding your post-adopton reports. We strongly urge families to continue submitting scheduled post-adoption reports through Illien as required by Ethiopia’s government, which takes post-adoption reporting very seriously. This is very important and will help ensure the continuation of adoptions from Ethiopia for other families in the future.

For families who have adopted from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Ukraine, these country’s programs are closed.

How very sad 3 years later and I get this message in my inbox about Hopscotch Adoptions and their new problem in off the beaten track non-Hague Serbia.

Hopscotch adoption agency again in action with intercountry adoptions from Serbia. This time with big support of her friend and the most dishonest person I’ve ever heard of,Leah Spring. There were/are many illegal activities of this person, along with the NGO Cherish Our Children International,Leah works for.I have many true informations about it,and it’s just unbeleivable how does Serbian government tolerate it unless…...Leah has mental ilness in her family, paranoid schizophrenia, and is a very mean, unscrupulous person, driven by the desire for power and financial gain.
Hope hearing from soon. It’ll be good for someone to worn Serbian government and American Embassy about Hopscotch and Leah Spring.

The adoption of Armenian children in 2014 was very low, only 16 adopted out.  9 went to the USA of which 7 were from Ms. Sizemore’s agency and 2 from others.  The other country that recieved Armenian children (all healthy) was France (7)  .  80% of what Hopscotch Adoptions adopts is special needs children that are moderate to severe.

Posted by Vanessa Kachadurian on Jun 25, 2015 at 8:59am

In 2005 - there was over 22,000 children from other countries that were adopted by Americans.
2014 - that number was 5,045 approximately 88% drop in business.

Since 2005- over 60% of the international adoption agencies were closed down mostly for lack of adherence to COA (Council of Acrediation) many sending countries have closed down or drastically decreased the number of children available to the USA: Russia, China, Guatemala, the main contributors today are largely Ethiopia (which is non Hague) and smaller contributors: Bulgaria, Guyana, Colombia, etc., that are not hague acrediated but rather allow for “open adoptions” without a central authority in place to examine each and every adoption case or whether the child was properly relinquished or merely cajoled from their parents. Many cases in India like this and Japan where a particular agency goes through “Mamas and Papas” a home for single unwed mothers.
over 5 years later and international adoption numbers continues to decline.  2015 numbers will be released in March 2016 but the prediction will be under 5,000.
This is a downward trend that will continue to erode while domestic adoptions are increasing.

Robin Sizemore and her sleezy attorney will be exposed in the next few weeks in LA court.

Good News for truth seekers and bad news for those who cannot tell the truth. 6 years after this nasty post which really hurts Robin Sizemore more than me, adoptions are down 80% and over 70% of the ASPs have closed, there is no more Adoption Lobbying group in DC.  10 children were adopted from Armenia all were special needs.  However, Robin Sizemore of Hopscotch Adoptions continues to grow her business as she works in niche countries like Republic of Georgia, Armenia, Serbia, etc.,  Hopscotch Adoptions revenue continues to grow year after year because of the market for special needs and keeping the price in Armenia to $30,000 the most expensive.  (lots of money to pass around)  Here is Hopscotch Adoptions latest 2016 990 tax returns a 5 year snap shot shows revenue exceeded $2 million dollars!!!
The more you lie Robin the more Armenia will continue to tell the truth and “cost you”

Posted by Vanessa Kachadurian on Jun 09, 2018 at 10:32pm

Ah 7 years later and the truth is surfacing The National Security Council of Armenia is doing a full blown investigation on illegal international adoptions to America and Italy,  in the second news cast on this report at 2:09 they clearly show the logo and dossier of HOPSCOTCH ADOPTIONS.  Robin Sizemore will finally be held accountable for her actions.  Alas, she will cry and blame the in country facilitators and play victim.  Adoptions will be shut down for a few years then she will bribe her way back in a few years.
If Robin thinks International adoptions will go back up to 22,000 a year she is delusional.  There was barely 4,000 kids last year adopted by Americans.  There will be a steady decline I predict to about 1,500 a year with the majority being severely handicapped.  Here you go Robin and Bennet be proud of your human trafficking and harming me and my family.  Where did it get you?  You simply drew more bad attention to you. Bennet Kelley cannot help you out of this mess.

Posted by Vanessa Kachadurian on Nov 23, 2019 at 8:41am

8 years later and its finally over, no more adoptions of Armenian children.  Here Robin Sizemore of Hopscotch Adoptions actually makes a stupid mistake of commenting on the investigation when reached.  Hopscotch implies that bio mothers are happy to have their babies taken from them and grateful to those that raised them.  Right Robin and you expect people to believe this crock?  Didn’t your attorney advise you to say “No Comment”

Posted by Vanessa Kachadurian on Dec 27, 2019 at 5:39am

Additionally Serbia is also looking into Robin Sizemore HOPSCOTCH ADOPTIONS and corrupt adoptions .
Wow Robin, you really made a mess didn’t you?
Blaming others or deflecting will not work this time.
Its over, the investigations in Armenia included testimony of your past clients

Posted by Vanessa Kachadurian on Dec 27, 2019 at 5:42am

Justice Is finally being served for all those Armenian birth mothers who had their babies stolen and sold into adoption.  They want the records unsealed so they can meet their children, they will not rest until those records are unsealed.
Across the World Adoptions is CLOSED and Robin Sizemore of Hopscotch Adoptions who paid over $200k in legal fees to a corrupt shady lying attorney by the name of Bennet Kelley has her acreditation in jeopardy by IAAMES.  Sizemore has had to hire 2 attorneys and openly complains that UAAMES issued false accusations against Hopscotch Adoptions And withheld information.
Sizemore has till November 2020 to renew her acreditation .  Even if she is able to renew her acreditation Hopscotch Adoptions is not welcome in Armenia and Setbia has an open investigation.
Seems Sizemores past clients gave an earful to investigators and IAAMES .  The only viable place keeping Sizemore rolling in money is Bulgaria which has closed and open several times over fraud and is unstable.
As for her corrupt lying human smuggling attorney and his “process server” wife Wanda J Rudd dropping of her husband’s fake court documents.  Ghanese community and Arnenian community of Los Angeles is very powerful.
