Feeling discouraged!

My husband and I are just starting the adoption process, we are going for and intake meeting this week and will hopefully start classes on July 11th.

When we made this decision I was sooo excited, but suddenly I am feeling discouraged.  There are so many posts about waiting over a year to find a match.  We have decided that because we already have 2 bio sons we would like a girl and one who is younger than our children but not an infant so we are looking at 4yrs to 7 yrs.  The agency said that these choices made it “limited”

I guess I’m just ready to start living my life with our complete family!

It is a long wait but totally worth it. I would think your age range preference would be a good thing though. There are so many kids in that age range who are legally ready to adopt already. I’ve always been told that it is the 4 and under group that is the hardest or longest road.
Just hang in there! It will take at least as long as it did when you had your sons. Think of it as a pregnancy but know it will probably be more like an elephant’s pregnancy than a humans, lol.
God bless you on your journey!
