Choosing an Agency

We’re just beginning the process of adopting a child (or children) from Poland.  We are researching which agency we should use, and are hoping to get some feedback from those of you who are farther along.  In our preliminary research, it looks like St. Mary (Charlotte, NC) and Lutheran Social Service Society of New York may be good fits for us.

How did you choose your agency, and what feedback can you give us about the one you chose?

I looked at both too, it was amazing how some agencies were anywhere between $35,000-$45,000 and then you have Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago that has been working in Poland the longest and is about $25,0000; but it is not all about cost, but who you feel meets your families best needs too. If one of the agencies is not near you, you will have to use a different agency to do your home study still.

Thanks.  I see your blog link above, but it looks like you have to approve all readers.  Is there any way we could take a look?  We’re trying to learn as much as possible.
