Have you read the Adoptive Families article, “The Stages of Waiting”?
The author is pursuing an international adoption and is waiting for a referral.  In the article, she breaks down her waiting into specific stages.  There are 17 stages listed in this article alone!

You may think there are more, which she forgot.  Or perhaps you have yet to experience some of the stages of waiting she describes.

What do you think of this article?
Could you relate to it?
What “stage are you currently in?

I really liked this article, and identified with MANY of these stages.  I felt relief at seeing some of them in print—the stages that I have not shared with anyone but my husband, the ones that have been my own private struggle (such as Doubt, Selfish jerk, Ethical Questioning….).

THANK YOU for getting this out there!!

I think right now I am residing in the last; Joyful, Uneasy Anticipation.  Ahhhh—-  what a ride!
