And let’s not forget what all of the hormones shot into us during fertility treatments do. I received monthly shots for at least a year and felt so ill all of the time that many mornings I could barely get out of bed. I certainly felt anything but “sexy.” After we gave up trying for a “home-made baby,” it still took at least 6 months before I felt normal again.
