Harvesting Stem Cells From Baby Teeth

We adopted our daughter from Russia 6 years ago.  It’s always been in the back of my mind that we wouldn’t have a good DNA match for her, should a serious illness/injury occur.  I had heard about stem cells being found in baby teeth, but didn’t seriously look into it until recently, when one of her front teeth became loose.  We just successfully harvested the stem cells, for cryogenic preservation.  I feel very good about it.  It like an insurance policy (hope you never need it, but it’s nice to have just in case).  It was easy, non-invasive, and not terribly expensive.  And, the stem cells from baby teeth are supposedly better than cord blood cells.  Just an FYI to other adoptive parents. If your interested, it’s an easy search on the internet.
