I am a mother of two very beautiful, fully African American adopted daughters.  I was lucky enough to get to know Dr. Jackson personally through my professional career.  I highly suggest the book she has just written.  I have purchased a copy for myself and am sending one to my adoption agency as a Christmas present, as they often suggest books for adoptive parents to read.  I get so many compliments and asked all the time of what I use on my 2 year-old daughter’s hair, from people of various ethnic backgrounds.  I have to give credit to Dr. Jackson as I have followed her advice on both skin and hair products.  Thank you Dr. Jackson!

Our beautiful 7 yr adopted son is african-american and caucasian. I keep his coarse hair very short (buzz cut every 3 weeks) because if it gets longer he starts itching the top of his head! I only wash his hair once a week and brush with special oil every morning but it is still very dry. He also develops dry, itchy flakes on top of his head .. please help!

My biracial (AA and Caucasian) daughter’s hair is too fine to use oil, as it gets sticky and oily rather than shiny, but is getting frizzy and dry when I use the things that used to work, like leaving in regular conditioner, hair repair serums, etc.  What should I do for her “in between” hair?

I’m also wondering where the link to the audio file of this webinar is.  I had to leave early and would really like to hear the remainder of the webinar that I missed.  Thanks!
