Whether you adopted in the U.S. or internationally, how have you honored your child's birth culture or racial heritage? Have you taken a trip to his state or country of birth? Visited a nearby city with a "Chinatown" or "Little Ethiopia"? Attended culture camp? Hosted an exchange student? Sought out cultural festivals or other events?
We're especially interested in options within the U.S.! Please share your experiences for an upcoming piece in the magazine.

I would love to hear about Russian cultural festivals or events in Florida. We live in South Florida, and are always interested in Russian themed things to do. We find they are very limited.

Our 6 year old daughter that we adopted from Taiwan is currently taking Chinese language class. She asked us if she could learn to speak Chinese. We were lucky to find a Chinese school not too far from our home. She loves it! I stay in the class with her so I am learning too.
We worked to make connections to the Ethiopian community in our town as well as give back to her birthcountry through working with Ethiopia Reads. It’s been an amazing journey for us and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Our son is African American/Caucasian, adopted from the foster care system. Sometimes its harder to find places to visit outside our own home to honor his heritage; we can’t really go to an Ethiopian community event or anything like that. I would love to see some ideas on this.
